EXE Home: RoboBlitz Review

Conclusion

The premise of RoboBlitz is quite original. Unfortunately “original” is not synonymous with “enjoyable”. RoboBlitz can be summarized as a boring puzzle game with robot space pirates, and that’d be perfectly adequate because there’s really nothing included that makes the game stand out from the crowd. While the game itself does bring some new ideas to the table, none really make an impact on the puzzles – save for the dependence on physics – and the puzzles are what the game survives on. With no multiplayer and tedious gameplay there’s very little lasting value in the game beyond a first glimpse of an engine that’s likely to become widespread over the next few years. Save those fifteen dollars for something worthwhile as you’re not missing anything here.
