Another hit or sneaking fiasco?
Developer: Ubisoft Splinter Cell is the newest game in a growing franchise of Splinter Cell games. With the original coming out for the original Xbox sometime in 2002, Sam Fisher has become a familiar face to both console and PC gamers alike. You play the as the tough NSA operative, breaking necks and sneaking your way through missions has been the way to go but there is a twist in the storyline. Sam Fisher's daughter died in a car accident, and Fisher takes a nosedive into a 6 month long depression. When he decides to come back, the depression is to be used as a cover to rob banks and get hauled off into prison. Once inside the prison, you're contacted by your target, a known terrorist with affiliations to a homeland terrorist organization known as John Brown's Army. Your task is to infiltrate the terrorist’s secret lair and help the NSA by placing bugs, scanning fingerprints and flirting with the only female in the joint. Throughout this venture, you'll find yourself having to make decisions. Decisions as to which side you want to trust you the most, and which tasks that you actually have time for. In between missions, you'll usually get a 30 minute window inside the terrorist base where you're free to do almost whatever it is you please. However, for story purposes, you're best off doing the tasks that each side gives you. It is possible to do them all; but it's really hard to do it on the first play through and becomes too easy when you come back to it. |
