WIGAN, UK – NOVEMBER 1 2006 - Graphics technology leader NVIDIA and game creation software gurus The Game Creators announce they are teaming up for a competition that invites would-be developers worldwide to put their skills to the test.

The competition is split into two categories, one for FPS Creator and the other for DarkBASIC Professional. Entrants must create a one level first person shooter in FPS Creator or let their imagination run wild in DarkBASIC Professional – games will be judged on a number of criteria, including graphics, gameplay and sound. The FPS Creator winner will receive a stunning top-spec PC and a publishing deal with Mastertronic, who will fund the development of the top entry into a 15-level game to be published and sold as part of their budget-priced range. Four runners-up will also win great NVIDIA hardware prizes. Two DarkBASIC Professional winners will receive a complete PC system, with NVIDIA SLI goodies up for grabs for second and third places. In addition, NVIDIA will host the best entries on their website for visitors to play.
