Jason "Alchemist" Baker takes a quick look at a few interesting games on the show floor.
E3 is crazy there are so many games that a staff of 100 could not cover them all. It is hard to pick games that are even worth sitting down and talking about. Most things I bother to write about are going to be a game I felt was worth my very limited time. Here are a few games that caught my eye just walking around.

Crysis

Made by the same guys that did Far Cry this has to be the best looking game at the show. A meteor crashes in North Korea and what starts as a simple recon mission turns into a fight vs an invading alien race. The jungle scene I saw looked pretty good not as impressive as the movie that was released earlier would have me believe. It still looks damn good do not get me wrong. A battle that took place on an aircraft carrier at night vs a giant robot that looked ripped right out of the Matrix was very impressive. It was one of the more movie like graphics I have ever seen. This DirectX 10 game will be Vista only so we will have to wait for awhile on it. Trailer can be found here.

SiN Episodes

This game not only has hot booth babes at the event but looks like they push the Source engine farther than HL2 did. A full review coming soon but damn it looks good. The game does too.

FEAR: Extraction Point

It's FEAR, looks and plays like it. If you liked the first one you will like this one. I did not hit them up for info so I could be wrong and the game has crazy new features but I did not see any during my play test.

Lego Star Wars 2

Besides Jedi Knight 2 the Lego series does Star Wars better than anyone. They are back again with game play featuring stories from A new hope to Return of the Jedi. The game play is a lot like the first one and that is a good thing.

Call of Juarez

A western themed game that should make any fans of the genre forget about GUN. This first person shooter feels a lot like Half Life 2 to me with the added old west theme this should be one to watch out for. This game looks like it is made with the PC gamer in mind so do not expect dumb down aiming or boring game play. Hope to do a full preview on this game soon.
