RTS and RPG a mix that is made in heaven.
Developer: Phenomic
Spellforce 2 puts you in the role of a simple character that you build up with the support of up to 5 heroes. Within your grasp is an almost unlimited selection of skills to select. In Spellforce 2 there are a total of 100 avatar skills allowing you to mix and match skills, which makes for a unique game experience every time you play it. With such a wide variety of skills, you can develop new tactics or just become extremely strong and bash every enemy in your path. In the game there are three factions that you can choose from. They are The Alliance of Light, Hordes of Chaos, and The Brotherhood of Darkness. Each faction promises new experiences and new troops. Each faction has 12 custom troops made up of infantry, cavalry, and flyers, which you can summon at monuments. Also in each faction there are 3 different races for you to use. With the different race selection, you can mix and match what units you want to be in your army. You are going to be required to build a base and collect resources for these troops, which brings the RTS part of the game into play. The bases and resource collecting require you to think what you are going to spend your valuable resources on: more troops or better upgrades? What you choose could affect whether you win or lose a battle or mission. It isn't just the selection of skills and abilities you can choose that makes this a game you may wish to try. The graphics for this game seem quite nice from taking a look at some of the screenshots. JoWood also has said there is a great amount of emphasis put into detail. The developing company placed an obvious emphasis on graphic details. I could swear some of those towns looked like I could go shop there myself. Spellforce 2 also brings a new twist to RTS games: a completely persistent world. That means it’s a RTS game in an RPG world. Spellforce 2's multiplayer is shaping up to be very interesting. You will be able to select avatars and level up in servers and gain equipment to use in the two different categories of Spellforce 2 online. Those categories are PvP (player vs player) that makes every item and level valuable so that you can destroy your enemies and become the champion of Spellforce 2. The other style of online play is a co-op mode that requires you and your teammate to be strong to win.
