Most of the time, expansion packs for games add detail and enrich already wonderful content. Battlefield 2 is no exception.
Publisher: Electronic Arts Genre: First Person Shooter Minimum System Requirements Special Requirements Test System Introduction Battlefield 2 is perhaps one of the most breathtakingly epic games on the market and well on its way to becoming a standard in any PC gamer's library. When I first played Battlefield 1942, I was in love with the game because it presented new additions to the standard fare in gameplay - vehicles! We're not talking about just a car here or there. Oh no! We're talking about jet airplanes, tanks, and an array of other goodies that make the game truly amazing! Prior to playing the Battlefield series, I was a semi-competitive Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament gamer. In comparison to these games, Battlefield maps are epic in size. The other games’ maps feel claustrophobic to me now. Battlefield 2: Special Forces, is significantly more challenging than the standard Battlefield 2. Some maps, like Warlord, feel more constrained. They are cluttered with real-life debris and foliage. Flags on some of these maps may be found upstairs in some places, rather than laid out in 2-D. At some points I feel like I am back to playing Counter-Strike again. There are times when I am negotiating small corridors and someone drops a flashbang, making me blind (and mad!) for a minute or so. Then again, at other times I'm sliding down a zip line in total glee from building to building. Before reading any further, this article assumes that you already own Battlefield 2 and are considering purchasing the expansion pack to enhance your experience. If you do not currently own Battlefield 2, make sure to note that you will need to have it installed before you can run Special Forces. We will focus on the new content you will find in this expansion pack.
