When I connect to limewire, the bars at the bottom only highlight to the 2/5 ones and i'm not able to download anything because of this.My internet connection is fine and I tried reinstalling limewire and even downloading different versions, but nothing seems to work.
It happened 2 me. I dont think # 2/3 should work. Just go to your fire wall settings and change it so their is no protection. Lime wire cant run with fire walls blocking it, because you need 2 upload // download stuff.
Torrents are good for movies and software. But for music P2P networks such as Frostwire are much better. Frostwire is better than Limewire vist http://www.frostwire.com/ to see why.

Limewire is filtering everything now. Some of the developers of limewire didnt like the content filtering idea and made frostwire. I use frostwire now.
I'm going to give Frostwire a shot as Limewire as been a little iffy lately. They've been overrun with false downloads (like Kazaa was when it became huge) and bad files.

It uses the same interface but a different logo.
