It will be 500+ the damn thing costs close to 800 dollars . SONY are selling it at a loss. But with the recent Losses (Half a Billion Dollars) announced at SONY in Q1 this year they will be desperate to cut costs and increase the prices of their products and aswell I doubt somehow they will be selling a PS3 at the same price as a Blu Ray Player. And when its released XBOX will drop in price and many will get that instead. Also in Europe the PS3 is likely to be priced higher . Whatever it will be in dollars expect the same in Euros despite Euro being stronger.

399$ sounds fair. Im willing to pay 499 yea it better come with a demo cd and an extra controller or something. I cant wait till its time to reserve it. I hear mid may, maybe around the end of may you'll be able to reserve it.
it wont be more than 399 cuz then it wont be able to directly compete with xbox360. That is to say, it wont be worth it to the average (not hardcore gamer) to pay the extra $100. Sony knows this
Simply beacuse they were not going leaps and bounds and were not mini-computers. Now you have a powerhouse box of fun. So to say that it will increase only $100 is likely but hardly see it possible. I would say its between the XBOX360 Core System and High End System Price. Don't see it being anything below $450 USD.
Because afterall Microsoft is losing money on every XBOX 360 that comes off the assembly line. Not that I will be buying either, thats why god invted emulators for the PC.

theres no way its gonig to be over $399. If u look at there record on sales it all around tht price. and like what #27 said Sonys going to make it around the 360 price. If sony made it more they would lose people and more would get the 360.

everything sony have "lost" on ps3 (development/selling at a loss etc) they will have made back by the end of 2007 if not sooner
