ok so there is no set price yet. ALso the rumors about the euro price and the translation to an actual dollar value are both mistranslated and usupported. The real facts though are this. Sony hasnt released a price on the ps3 yet becuase it is waiting to the see the price of other blue ray technology players. There ps3 price will be an adjustment in accordance to the current trend in pricing of blue ray crap. They did mention however that they will price below standard blue ray players as it is a gaming system first and foremost. So here is an interesting tid bit of news, the first blue ray dvd player will be released here in the us on may23 i think at a price of $1,000. So in comparison, i would say dont hold your breath on a $400 price tag. anticipate something in the area of 600-800. Hopefully though im wrong and they price the machine at 400-500 and it comes with some free crap as did the premuim bundle of the xbox360! HAPPY SAVING! also the online experience will be similar to xbox live, probably not better, probably not worst just similar. MGS4 at launch though will blow x360 out of the water as far as opening sales!
you really think sony is gonna come out with this for more than $500? they make more money on the cables than they do the consoles...of course their gonna say its expensive so that when it debuts for much less than what u expect ull think its cheap and buy one
i agree with #5 think about it, prices for XB360 around last XMas on Amazon.com were at exactly 1000 dollars. With Halo3 coming out and PS3 on the same day, its going to be extremely pricy and extremely insane to get your hands on one.

tho, the new Windows Vista engines that are coming out are blistering compared to XB360 and PS3. check out "cryEngine2"
it wont be that much Huxley comes out soon and u can play pc ps3 and xboxlive all together on the same server why pay more for ps3 to do that , huxley is a landmark in gaming and because of that ps3 will need to be very close in price to compete
