Yeah like some one says, it looks like a catoon game from disney. But some how I liked it. Im lookin' forward for the game...

never thought i would see the day team fortress 2 came out. who knows maybe it wont.

#3 ya the background where the different classes are standing outside, you can tell thats the outside of the 2fort map

when the spy is looking around the corner to his left, thats the outside of Blue team respawn room, looks like he's standing top of ramps to basement

when the scout is running, thats the basement of 2fort outside the flag room

looks like they have the HDR rendering enabled in the video, tf2 looks like it'll be more based on gameplay, thats a good thing :)

its a game made for casual gamers....valve is sort of trying hard to address that they dont think anything of esports nor competitive gaming, not that they dont make great games like portal which im looking forward 2........but they are just on the list of esports killers

pretty obvious valve has never cared about competitive gaming to begin with besides balancing money and hltv

They care about what makes the money, if they didn't they'd go bankrupt. That is all that matters I'm very happy that their bundling TF2 with Episode Two cause they could easily charge for both seperate.

Anybody else notice that the map their showcasing is 2Fort?

The red buildings - Notice the two entrances on the bottom, and the snipers nest on the top.

The bridge is now made of rickety wooden planks

#7, yeah. and for what? Stupid cartoon graphics, and Valve actually calls that "the most advanced graphics i the Source engine" give me a break it looks like crap. GG Valve you ruined another great title. I mean i'm still looking forward to it, i'm just really dissapointed

#35 after quake 1 came out i think the quake: team fortress mod was among the first and biggest competitive team games, this was before CAL existed. leagues were Iron Glove League, Stronger Than All league etc. i think there were even a few big match ups between the top Euro and American teams but they were only for respect and braging rights back then. this was around 1998 or so

#38 <- BIG fan of QF. Played from back when I got Quake around 96. TFC is pretty good, but I have to say Q3F was extremely fast paced and perhaps the most fun game I've ever played.

Hopefully this game is fun, unlike Team Fortress Classic.

I bring the HEAT like Val Kilmer.

good lil teaser. I hope they kept the rocket, nade, and conc jumps. Loved playing tfc way back when on my 56k modem. When i first read that it was actually being released i thought it would just be delayed once again, but looks like its actually coming out... after 20 years.

some people are just ignorant, and can't accept change...I mean TFC was never meant to be a realistic game, so why try to play it off as a gritty war film? This new look just adds to the fun factor in my opinion, and I'm getting it simply because of the new graphics...oh and weapons factory mod was always > TFC :P

i thought people would have grasped this concept by now but apparently alot of people missed it:
most (if not all) new games coming out are aimed at bringing in new gamers, not keeping old ones or pleasing the competetive community. theyve already got our money, theyre trying to get new money lol. boring unattractive graphics arent gonna draw people's attention. i think the reason some people dislike new games is because they compare it too much to the game the already play.

#4, Chet Faliszek says "It is all rendered in the engine, the map is 2fort. A few effects like motion blur and depth of field were added since we wanted to concentrate on the characters. Only the spy's animation is not from the game, if we had his disguise effect done we would have used that, but everything else is from in game."
